The new release of Joomla should be emphasizing on marketing Joomla as an Application Platform with new functionalities, each of which should be independent of the core code for Joomla. This will offer the customers a much cleaner and more user friendly infrastructure that they can work with. The developers working on Joomla have a key role to play in making this a possibility.
